Partnership between Landi Renzo and Opel reinforced

Published on 25 May 2009

The new Opel GPL‐TECH line presented at MoTechEco, the Sustainable Mobility Exposition held in Rome May 14 through 16 2009, will use technology by Landi Renzo, an Opel partner since 2006.

The models on display before the public will be the Corsa 1.2, Meriva 1.4 and the Astra 1.4 GPL‐TECH.

In this project Opel further improves on the efficiency of its engines, reducing consumption and increasing the strength of the materials used thanks to in‐depth research and optimisation of electronic engine operation. The result is an engine head specifically designed to meet the needs of LPG fuel, with heat treatment to harden the surface of the head and even stronger alloys on the intake and exhaust valve seats as well as the valves themselves.

GPL‐TECH models are eligible for government incentives to purchase ecological LPG‐fuelled vehicles.

Through this partnership, Opel and Landi Renzo offer their customers cars which are more ecological and economical, eligible to stay on the road at all times, even when traffic is halted due to smog, and even more reliable in technical terms thanks to appropriate use of specially designed materials and solutions.

All the cars in the Opel GPL‐TECH range come with the same guarantee as conventionally fuelled cars: 3 years or 100,000 km starting on the car’s registration date.

Landi Renzo: more and more often “the manufacturers’ choice”.
