Landi Renzo has obtained the Sustainable Development Award 2015

The important prize will be awarded on 5 November at Ecomondo

Landi Renzo has one more reason for looking forward to the third H2R, the leading Italian exhibition on sustainable mobility held as part of Ecomondo (Rimini, 3-6 November).

On 22 October, the Sustainable Development Foundation announced the 2015 list of winners of the 7th Sustainable Development Award, supported by the Italian President of the Republic, and Landi Renzo has been awarded one of the three categories, namely that of "sustainable mobility", for the excellence of its new Research & Development Centre, opened on 19 September 2014.

A plaque will be presented to the company on 5 November, during the important event held in Rimini.

The Award, which has become an eagerly awaited yearly event, aims to promote and disseminate the best practices and cutting-edge technologies of Italian companies operating in the green economy.

The Landi Renzo quality that reflects the requirements of the award's promoters is its investment in automotive technologies based on the use of alternative fuels. Indeed, the award goes to companies that stand out for activities and projects with significant environmental benefits, an innovative content, positive economic and employment benefits, and a significant potential going forward.

As regards the company's participation in H2R, Landi Renzo will feature with an information stand near the Central Conference Area, as well as offering visitors the chance to test-drive the Landirenzo Diesel Dual Fuel technology, which allows diesel engines to work with a mixture of diesel and natural gas, with clear ecological and economic advantages.

Finally, the company’s Management will speak at the main conference of H2R on Wednesday, 4 November, at the Central Conference Area of Rimini Fiera. The conference will be moderated by Fabio Orecchini, founder and president of the Scientific Committee of H2R - Mobility for Sustainability, and manager of Mobility and Energy for the Ecomondo Sustainable City Project.

Ecomondo, now in its 19th year, attracted over 100,000 professional visitors in 2014. This year, the event will once again form part of the General Assembly for the Green Economy, attended by the Ministries for the Environment and Economic Development.

The General Assembly is promoted by the National Council for the Green Economy, of which Landi Renzo is a member, along with another 65 business organisations, coordinated by the Sustainable Development Foundation, chaired by Edo Ronchi.
