Landi Renzo, the Reggio Emilia-based world leader in the production and installation of natural gas and LPG systems, is to be a special guest at the Ecogas Consortium stand

Landi Renzo, the world leader in LPG and natural gas alternative fuel systems and components for motor vehicles, is to participate in the Ecogas Consortium stand at the 2009 Motorshow to be held from December 4th to 8th at the Bologna exhibition centre.

Landi Renzo will be displaying an Opel Corsa 1.2 EcoTech in the Ecogas Consortium and Assoliquidi stand, set up to promote the use of natural gas as a vehicle fuel. The 2009 Motorshow is a reduced, renewed version of the fair which hopes to transform the economic crisis in the automotive sector into an opportunity to relaunch the industry with a focus on environmental sustainability and on the thrilling, spectacular side of motor vehicles.

The EcoTech Opel Corsa 1.2 with sequential multipoint electronic fuel injection has a 1,200 cc engine featuring the Landi Renzo Omegas Plus LPG system which emits a maximum of 119 grams of CO2 per km. It costs only 18 euro to fill the tank, and the car travels 100 km on 4.04 euro; the LPG tank has a capacity of 42 litres.

Lovato Gas, a Vicenza-based company purchased by Landi Renzo in October 2008 and the world’s third-largest manufacturer of LPG and natural gas systems and components for motor vehicles, is also to participate in the Ecogas Consortium stand, with a Honda Jazz converted to run on LPG. The Lovato Gas Easy Fast system ensures that the vehicle emits a maximum of 125 grams of CO2 per kilometre travelled. It costs 18 euro to fill the tank, and the vehicle travels 100 kilometres on only 3.3 euro.

Landi Renzo is the world’s leading manufacturer of LPG and natural gas fuel systems and components for motor vehicles. The company, based in Cavriago (Reggio Emilia) and boasting more than 50 years of experience in its field, is characterised by high growth of revenues and extensive internationalisation, being now present in more than 50 countries, with exports generating about 73% of its total sales. Landi Renzo S.p.A. has been listed on the Star segment of the Italian Stock Exchange since June 2007.
